‍Washington, D.C. — July 03, 2025 — CyberMontana, the state’s premier cybersecurity education and workforce development initiative, has officially joined CyberUSA as its newest affiliate. This alliance further strengthens national collaboration to enhance cyber resilience across the United States.

CyberMontana, funded by the Montana Legislature and based at the University of Montana Center for Cybersecurity Workforce Development and Rural Policy, offers cybersecurity education and training for all residents of Montana. Its programs include security awareness training, workforce development, and educational opportunities for adults, high school students, and middle school students. CyberMontana also hosts events such as Cyber Hygiene Clinics and Cyber STEM Camps for kids, aiming to increase the cybersecurity defensive posture for all of Montana.

“CyberMontana’s commitment to cybersecurity education and workforce development aligns perfectly with CyberUSA’s mission,” said Adam Rak, executive director of CyberUSA. “Their innovative programs and statewide reach make them a valuable addition to our national network of affiliates working together to protect our nation’s digital infrastructure.”

Dianne Burke, director of CyberMontana, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “Joining CyberUSA allows us to collaborate with like-minded organizations across the country, share best practices, and access resources that will enhance our ability to serve Montana’s residents and businesses as cyber threats continue to grow.”

Tom Gallagher, dean of Missoula College and associate vice provost for Two-Year Education and Workforce Development, added, “This affiliation with CyberUSA not only validates the work we’ve been doing in Montana but also opens up new opportunities for our students and faculty to engage with national cybersecurity initiatives and contribute to a more secure digital future.”

CyberUSA is a nonprofit “community of communities” focused on enabling innovation, education, workforce development, and enhanced cyber readiness and resilience across the United States.
