CyberWyoming Rebrands Made Safe Microbusiness Cybersecurity Training Program as CyberUSA to Expand Nationally
LARAMIE, WY – CyberWyoming, an affiliate of CyberUSA, today announced that its Made Safe™ Microbusiness Cybersecurity Training Program and Cybersecurity Competition for Small Businesses will be rebranded as CyberUSA, reflecting the program’s expansion from a Wyoming-based initiative to a national effort designed to help microbusinesses strengthen their cybersecurity practices.
Originally developed by CyberWyoming to support small and microbusinesses that often lack access to cybersecurity resources, the MadeSafe™ program has successfully provided practical training and guidance to help businesses identify risks, protect sensitive information, and build stronger digital resilience. As interest in the program has grown beyond Wyoming, CyberWyoming and CyberUSA have partnered to bring the program to communities across the United States under the CyberUSA brand.
“Microbusinesses make up the backbone of the American economy, yet they are often the most vulnerable to cyber threats,” said Laura Baker, Executive Director of CyberWyoming. “Rebranding the program as CyberUSA reflects our commitment to scaling this proven training model nationally so more small businesses can access practical cybersecurity education and support.”
According to the Small Business Administration’s US Small Business Profile Report, 98% of small businesses have less than 20 employees.
The CyberUSA Microbusiness Cybersecurity Training Program focuses on providing accessible, actionable cybersecurity training tailored specifically for very small businesses. The program helps participants understand common cyber risks, implement basic protective measures, and develop practical policies that reduce exposure to cybercrime.
Through partnerships with chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), and workforce development programs, Made Safe™ will expand nationwide to help small businesses build safer digital operations.
“Small businesses are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals, but many owners don’t know where to start,” said Adam Rak, Executive Director of CyberUSA. “CyberUSA provides clear, practical guidance that helps business owners take achievable steps to protect their businesses and their customers.”
The national expansion will allow CyberUSA to support communities across the country while continuing CyberWyoming’s mission of strengthening cybersecurity awareness, workforce development, and digital resilience for small businesses.
